I have a picture of our washing machine and our 'dryer' in Picthres of China. Washers over here aren't like at home in the US. We have a seperate unit for wringing the water out of the clothes. I was excited when Qi Yan (TN) told me that we had a dryer, but I quickly learned that this perk isn't what Americans call a dryer
Chuck just got back from looking for cinamon rolls for breakfast. He enjoys getting out and was up and dressed before either of us this morning and thought this might be a nice change of pace for breakfast. The rolls he got either have cinamon or pepper. We'll let you know.
China is getting ready to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival which happens on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese calendar. This year the festival will be on September 30th. This is one of three big festivals in the Chinese calendar
Spring Festival and Winter Solstice are the other ones. There are regional celebrations and I'm hoping to see fire dragons dancing., They also say that this is a big time for romance and matchmaking happens alot at this time no picking up hankies from young ladies son...LOL I also read where it is the custom to give moon cakes as gifts when people visit. Guess we need to have some on hand then.
