Toni's Apple Cake
Dice 4-5 apples, peeled and cored
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 1/3cups Bisquick
2/3 cup almond milk or reg. milk
4 Tbsp sugar
1 pinch kosher salt
4 Tbsp melted butter-unsalted
1 cap full vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Chuck and Nate's Confectioner Sugar Drizzle
1/2 cup Confectioner's Sugar
1/2 cup water
Mix the water into the confectioner's sugar in a small stream. Add until it is the consistency that you want. If you like it runnier add more water if you like it a little thicker, use less water.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Cut cored and peeled apples into 1/2 inch cubes and put into a bowl and toss with lemon juice (to prevent browning). Set aside.
Combine Bisquick, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add butter and milk until well incorporated. Fold in apples draining lemon juice from them before adding to batter. Pour into a round cake pan prepared with cooking spray.
Bake cake for 30 minutes in a 425 oven or until a tooth pick come out clean from the middle. Let cool in pan for 5 mins. Place a plate upside down on the cake pan and flip the cake onto it. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar and enjoy, or you can use the drizzle that my husband and son came up with.
