Happy May Day! To celebrate May Day, which is similar to Labor Day in America, we went to Century Amusement Park and had a day of fun. Century is like Six Flags Over Georgia in our home state of Georgia. It took a little bit longer to get to Century but it was super worth it. The park is larger in size than Six Flags with many of the same types of rides and some that are very different too. We saw drop towers where you sit in chairs that get lifted into the sky and then dropped. They have two merry go rounds the first one being a double decker one that is faster than merry go rounds in the states, the second one that we saw looked more like the one at Six Flags and we bet that it would go at the same rate of speed as the ones in the states. Like SFOG, areas at Century were sectioned off in areas and at CAP the areas are named for countries. We started off in London, England with a Ferris wheel that looks like the London Eye, we then walked through Egypt to get to the roller coasters and on our way we saw a tiger and lion show with live animals jumping through hoops. I think we might have tried to see more had the hour not been late and had my ankle not been hurting me.
On our way home we found that two of the bus lines that are right outside of our complex will go directly to Century Amusement Park. That was and is a huge find; we can go back at a later date on our own and visit what we haven’t seen yet. I think, well I know that we will not be going back on a holiday again; way too many people off and looking for something to do today.
