Today we went to McDonald's for breakfast, one of the few places near us we have found to be open for breakfast early and then off to the visa company and found out that we don’t have the correct paper work and will have to get the correct paper work and then come back. The lady helping us started to raise her voice and my voice went up to match hers. To that, Chuck told me to calm down and I said she raised her voice first and if she hadn't then I wouldn't have raised mine. After that she lowered her tone and so did I and we were able to get an understanding on what was needed to get the Visa’s. She wanted us to go and get the paperwork in Shenzhou the city in China that we left to come to Hong Kong, however what we need to get fixed would take 4-5 days and then there are the 4-5 days to get the visa, we can’t take that kind of time off our work schedule nor do we have that kind of money to stay in Hong Kong for that length of time. So we will get our 90 days and then come out again on Winter Break and take care of things.
After a disappointing morning with that, we took a walk on down by Hong Kong Harbor and saw lots of sights. There is a building that has the shape of the Sidney Opera House, and high rises of lots of major Chinese and American companies. We also saw “Avenue of Stars” that is kind of like Grumman’s Chinese Theater in California but for movie stars here in China. We saw Jackie Chan’s and Jet Li’s stars and hand prints. We then saw a statue of Bruce Lee and his star although there are no hand prints as the park was made after his death. Chuck told the lady who runs the front desk of our Bed & Breakfast that I’m a singer/songwriter and gave her my stage name so that she can look up my songs. She said that my voice is good and she really enjoyed Nate’s playing very much.
