Today was Disney Day! We went to at long last, to Disney today. It was every bit as awesome as I remembered from my childhood. The biggest difference in Florida’s Disney World and Hong Kong’s Disney Land is the language. The rides are very similar and food while different in preparation is food. Little things like when outdoor rides were closed because of lightening in the area, in America we understand when the staff at Disney tells us why a ride is closing or what that means if we are in line but in Hong Kong a different language is used and it was difficult to understand. Announcements are given in two languages however in this case once the Chinese message had been said everyone around us starting talking so we couldn’t hear the English.
It seems that I’ve been on a one woman mission to get us to go to Hong Kong Disney. Walt Disney and I share a birthday so I would really like to go to a Disney Park on our birthday. Anyway back to my mission which is now complete. Nate has been to a Disney Theme Park and I got another set of ears. Minnie Mouse ears this time and they are on a baseball style cap with a bow on it too! That bow addresses another desire for me to be addressed in the fall to winter. We went on most of the rides we wanted to before the ceasing of riding and tomorrow plan on going on a few that we enjoyed and then seeing some shows.
