We just got back from going to Dunkin’ Donuts and Dashang Market. It was an excellent walking trip, walking because we went by the park and bikes aren’t allowed in the park. We saw several musicians playing on Traditional Chinese instruments and singers singing in the traditional manner like a Chinese opera. I took lots of cool pictures that I can’t wait to share. We also found the Dunkin’ Donuts inside the Dashang Market. We ordered doughnuts and Pepsi sodas, a pure delight. We went into the market and saw Peanut Sauce being made fresh; the smell was amazing. Back outside we saw the Chinese Flag proudly flying sometimes in a breeze more often than not there was none and the flags just hung, still proudly. Today is National Day in China and it most resembles the American Holiday Independence Day The 4th of July. This day 63rd National Day and China's top leadership laid floral wreaths at Hero's Monument in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Much like how the US top officals will lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown in Arlington Cemetery. On our walk home we came up Songshan Nan Lu and passed a post office. After looking for weeks and knowing there must be a post office somewhere; we found one. WOOHOO! This was right down the street from Vanguard, so close but we never went far enough down Songshan.
