This has been a very exciting few weeks. Now I get to relax a little before Christmas. We have found some awesome websites: www.homeschooldiner.com Our search was to find a neat place to do English/Language Arts online that is free. Grammar Bytes can be found from homeschooldiner and is the website that we settled on but there are so many to choose from. They have websites for all subject matter and my son who loves science searched out their science section to his satisfaction! We also were in search of some math sites for my son and I found some with the help of my tutorial students mom and classroom teacher. Both of these sites are real good www.ixl.com and www.multiplication.com these sites are excellent and I am happy to say that my son and my tutorial student both enjoy going to both of the sites to do work. Anytime my son, who doesn't like math, ASKS me to do math, then you may be sure that this is a good site. The real exciting thing is that ixl.com has math standards for all 50 states and the District of Columbia. No matter what state you live in, you can get the heads up on where your child needs to be educationally speaking. And of course my goal is to help parents to make the best choices for their child, regardless of weather you home school or your child attend public or private school.
As I said, I am relaxing now, we have been moving our karate dojo. Nate helped his dad get everything moved into our new location. The new dojo is four times the size of our previous dojo, with lots of teaching space and room to grow. We are increasing our teaching to Saturdays and I'm looking forward to the change.
