Sunday and Chuck had to do make up classes today and Nate and I were on our own for lunch. Today we decided to go back to the old campus for our lunch and it was lots of fun. We were able to watch as the cook fixed our meal fresh before our eyes. Nate ordered fried noodles and I had what looked like spaghetti noodles with Chinese spices and veggies. I took pictures but they don’t do the meal prep justice, video is defiantly necessary here. And yes, he tossed the noodles in the hot wok and all he had between him and the hot metal was what looked like a kitchen cloth but I’m sure it had some type of fire resistant coating on it. When we got to the stall there were two orders ahead of us and we watched as he made them too, the biggest difference in the food prep of our dishes and the two before us was that for us flame was added into the cooking vessel and for the other two dishes he didn’t let it flame up. Maybe it was show for the foreigners but I got it on film too.
