Today though we have been doing school work online, I say we because I have found that playing games on multiplication.com is fun and relaxing. Using another of my new favorite websites, Nate, is doing some English. Next Monday morning we are planning a field trip to ice skate down at Centennial Olympic Park here in Atlanta, GA. The skating opens at 4:30PM and I hope to see other home schoolers out then. Planning on having a fun time with my son and niece I'll be watching them from the sidelines as they have fun on the ice.
I had the chance to sit down and talk with a friend who also home schools. She had a story of woe to tell me about the private school she had her children enrolled in, she pulled them and is working on getting them educated privately. It is sad when public education falls short but even more painful when a private education doesn't meet the standards we are looking for. I'm glad for her and her children that she has found home schooling to be a positive option for their education.
Well, if you have any questions about home schooling, how to get started etcetera. Feel free to email me and ask away.
