Just because of the holidays at this time of year, doesn't mean that we stop home school, our focus is just on the meaning of Christmas. We are reading and our son has expressed an interest in learning about other faith's ceremonies and special days. With all the talk about Chanukkah at this time of year, my son has asked about this Jewish holiday. Believing that to best serve my son educationally and to prepare him for our global world. I feel that it is necessary to make sure that he is sensitive to others needs. As millions do daily, I went to searched the internet for what Chanukkah is and a way to give the information to my son. I'm thrilled that he wants to learn about other cultures and feels so grounded in his Christian Faith that he can learn about others.
