As this year winds down, we look to the future. Yes, we are excited about summer days stretching out before us, but just a little thought to summer and fall tutoring. I intend to do a summer of learning with my son. Days won't be as planned out as our school year classes, but I would hate to think of the hard hours spent learning 'fractions' and he possibly loose it over the summer vacation. Usually I get some type of summer bridge workbooks to keep skills learned this year sharp and to get a head start on the new skills that will be learned in a new grade. This year I'm planning on doing worksheets from superteachers.com focusing on the areas that gave him the most trouble during the school year as well as looking forward to what is to come. I also will be available to tutor home schooled and traditionally schooled children so that they also keep their skill sharp during the summer. Check out my Summer Tutoring Link. Tutoring is Parent/Student led. If there were some deficiencies in the classroom this year, we can work on addressing them, it's also great to get a jump on what will be presented in the new year of school.
Also, something new in the Fall. Since I will be homeschooling my own child, I'd love to help you home school your child as well. Check out New for Fall 2012 under the Students and Pay Online tab. Students come two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) for 6 hours (9-2) and we will work on reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science as required by state law, but we will not be limited to just those classes. Spaces are limited so if you are interested please contact me as soon as possible to reserve your child's spot.
Enjoy the day!
